Robynne Nelson is a proud Yorta Yorta, Jaara, Waywurru woman living in the Shepparton region. Her vast experience includes:

Undertaking a broad range of consultancy projects across Victoria/NSW over the past 22 years including regional health plans, needs analysis studies, strategic planning, family services reviews, developing and reviewing service models, conference facilitation, developing policies and procedures and interagency partnership agreements; and writing Aboriginal Aged Care and Disability Policies for all Vic Aboriginal Community Health Organisations.

Robynne also completed a Cross-Border Regional Health Plan for Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation and community (2001) which resulted in the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service being established. 

She was also the inaugural Chair of the Yorta Yorta Nation Traditional Owner Land Management Board for Barmah National Park.

She has delivered Aboriginal cultural competency training to well over 50,000 people from a wide range of agencies/services such as Victoria Police, Child Protection/DHHS, Department of Justice, many Victorian hospitals including boards and staff e.g. Royal Children’s Hospital, Albury Wodonga Health, local government, community health services, aged care, child and family, and youth justice and family violence services and universities across Victoria.

She and her husband also run Culcha Camps for Victoria Police, Department of Justice, Victorian GP’s and other corporate groups. 

Their company Healing the Spirit also auspiced and co-funded the Shepparton Aboriginal Community Justice Panel 2017-2019.

Robynne also has a long background working around Australia in Aboriginal Affairs, Nursing in three states and recruitment including a role as QLD Aboriginal and Islander Consultant for Telstra managing Indigenous recruitment across QLD/Torres Strait; and ten years with the Commonwealth Employment Service/DEET in Melbourne.

Robynne has completed extensive research in Australia, Mauritius and India resulting in her  writing and compiling the book Dharmalan Dana with and for her father George Nelson, and this was published by the Australian National University in Canberra (2014) and then launched in Australia and by the Australian High Commission in Mauritius (2015). 

She is also the owner operator of the GV Wellness Centre in Mooroopna.
